All The Government Cookies You Can Eat
The White House asking people to forward emails with bogus health care arguments is nothing. The real privacy issue is the proposed change to policy regarding cookies.
Proposed changes by the Office of Management and Budget would allow the federal government to install cookies in your web browser. That gives the federal government the ability to see what information you looked at and to find where you are. Current policy does not allow cookies to be installed on end user machines.
I am not sure if this is a big deal. Actually it is quite surprising that they don't do this already.
The ACLU is against this proposed change. Are You? Sphere: Related Content
